After a number of years with our previous repairs contractor, Gilmartins and having listened carefully to your feedback about this service over the last year, we decided that a change was required.

After a thorough process, we are pleased to announce that we have a new repairs and maintenance contractor.

We have chosen Chigwell, who are now delivering our repairs and maintenance works for many of our estates.

They have a good reputation for service delivery and efficiency and work successfully with several small to medium-sized housing associations in London.

They started with us in April and already we are receiving some very positive feedback about the service. We realise we still have work to do and will be investing more in our buildings and your homes over the coming years.

In terms of spending priorities, we are taking a safety-first approach to investment whilst ensuring all our homes meet the decent homes standard.

We also have a kitchen and bathroom replacement programme and will also be renewing boilers and heating systems in a number of our properties.

We are also prioritising blocks that have had issues such as those that have leaks and also seeking quotes for a window replacement programme.

Also important to us is that our homes are energy efficient so that your bills are lower and we are able to reduce our carbon footprint at the same time.

We are completing surveys on the condition of your homes so that we have a clear picture of what level of investment and types of works that will be needed over the next 30 years.

We will be communicating more about our future investment programmes during the course of this year, so watch this space!
