Baroness Warwick Of Undercliffe Visits Inquilab
On Thursday 30th May, Inquilab Housing Association hosted Diana Warwick, Baroness Warwick of Undercliffe and Chair of the National Housing Federation, together with Sarah-Jane Gay, External Affairs Manager National Housing Federation for a visit and tour of its offices and housing schemes.
The day began at the Inquilab office in Kew Bridge, where the Baroness met with Inquilab’s Chief Executive, Gina Amoh. The Baroness also had the opportunity to meet many of the Inquilab neighbourhood officers and staff to discuss their day to day work.
In the afternoon the Baroness, accompanied by Gina Amoh and the Neighbourhood Management Team, visited a variety of Inquilab schemes, including Movia Apartments in Baker’s Road Uxbridge, which comprises 37 lift serviced shared ownership apartments ranging in size from one to three bedrooms, with many featuring outside space and located opposite Uxbridge Station.
The party also visited Mint Close, Hillingdon and Lancaster Road in Southall, where they had the opportunity to meet and greet several residents to discuss their day to day experiences in social housing.
“It is great that the Baroness took time out to see the work of an organisation like Inquilab whose work is to support its communities to thrive. At Inquilab we take care not to lose sight of the housing need, social exclusion and disadvantages we are here to tackle – not alone, but with the support of residents, local authorities and other partners, all are important to our work,” remarks Inquilab’s Chief Executive.
